14 months

Well, it's official. Landon is 14 months old today. I know it's cliched, and I know everyone always says it, but boy, does time fly! It was right around this time last year that I went back to work, leaving behind an eight week old baby King Penguin. 

When our King Penguin was born, he weighed 7 pounds and was 20 inches long. Now, he's about 23.5 pounds (he's weight is fluctuating since he is getting over a bad virus and his appetite's not quite normal) and is a whopping 30.5 inches tall. And my goodness, does the boy chatter! Not only does he jabber away in his own language, he's quickly learning new words. His vocabulary includes:

1. Mama
2. Dada
3. Kitty! 
4. Baba (bottle)
5. Ball
6. Bird
7. Car
8. Cookie
9. Book
10. Uh-oh!
11. Bye-bye!
12. Papa (for Pop-Pop)

As anyone with a child understands, it's amazing to watch them grow and learn, although I'll admit that I wish he could stay 14 months old for a little while longer. My little man is getting big too fast!
