Aaaannnd...we're back!
My apologies for the unannounced hiatus. In the last week, I had surgery to remove my wisdom teeth, my dad was unexpectedly in town, Brian and Landon got bad colds, Landon turned 11 months old, I caught Brian and Landon's colds after Landon "gooed" me, and I had a two day training in Philadelphia.
I hope you did not experience terrible Landon withdrawal during our absence. To express my sincere apologies, enjoy these two videos, taken on the King Penguin's 11 month birthday.

Landon's newest toy
Sorry for falling off the radar for a few days. I do most of my blogging at my desk at work, since its much easier to click and drag photos with my work Mac than the laptop at home. I ended up taking off last Thursday and Friday, and never got around to posting anything while hanging out with the baby.
Today is Landon's first day of "school". I thought he'd be at least a little upset to see me go - after all, he's only met the teachers once, and I was with him the whole time. But instead of being apprehensive, Landon waved dismissively when I said goodbye, and shifted his attention to the other tots, the toys and the teachers. I think he'll be fine, and I'm sure he'll love every minute of his day.
In other news, Landon decided recently that his old toys just weren't cutting it. No, he needed something new. Something cutting edge. Something unique.
He wanted a jungle gym.
Unfortunately for our Little Man, both Brian and I think he's just a little young for a traditional jungle gym. After all, he's only been walking for a month or so.
Landon was not deterred. If Mom and Dad weren't going to buy him a jungle gym, he'd create his own.
And create his own he did. Landon adopted his car seat as his new jungle gym. The boy just won't leave it alone. He throws a fit if you strap him in to use the seat as it is intended...but if you leave the seat unattended on the floor, he climbs right in and entertains himself.
I get my wisdom teeth out this Thursday, and will be taking Friday off to recover, so you may be treated to a blog posted penned by a loopy, drugged up Abby. But you'll have to stay tuned for that.

OK...so who let the cat out of the bag?
Huey discovered a bag of Landon's toys last night. I don't think he fully understands the concept of "playing", although he certainly has mastered "laying."
